Roll Off Garbage Truck: 4 Units Delivered to Cote d’Ivoire

Roll Off Garbage Truck: 4 Units Delivered to Cote d’Ivoire
In December 2020, customers in Cote d’Ivoire received four units of Roll Off Garbage Truck designed for professional waste collection operations. The project included Howo 6×4 hook lift garbage trucks with 20m³ roll-off containers, providing a practical waste management solution for two representative companies in the local market.
The delivery was completed on December 6, 2020, and the vehicles were transported to Shanghai Port for export preparation. The project represented another cooperation opportunity with an African customer seeking reliable Chinese commercial vehicles.
1. Customer Background
The customers were two companies from Cote d’Ivoire requiring dedicated waste collection vehicles for their business operations. The project focused on supplying large-capacity garbage trucks suitable for modern waste transportation requirements.
Before this order, the supplier had established communication with customers during a visit to Cote d’Ivoire in December 2019. During that visit, the team introduced commercial vehicle solutions and shared previous project experience from African markets, including Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana.
As a result, the customers gained confidence in Chinese truck manufacturing capability and selected Howo roll-off garbage trucks for their waste management applications.
2. Customer Challenge
Waste management companies often require vehicles that can handle large waste volumes while maintaining operational flexibility.
First, the customers needed a garbage transportation solution with higher loading capacity. A standard garbage truck may not meet the requirements of large-scale waste collection projects.
Therefore, the project required a Roll Off Garbage Truck with a large container capacity and a reliable heavy-duty chassis.
Meanwhile, the vehicles needed to operate under demanding working conditions. African waste collection operations often require durable equipment that can support continuous transportation tasks.
In addition, the customers needed a solution that could be supplied as multiple units. Four identical trucks helped create a more consistent fleet for daily operations.
3. Our Roll Off Garbage Truck Solution
For this project, we supplied four Sinotruk Howo 6×4 336hp roll-off garbage trucks with 20m³ garbage containers.
The trucks used the Sinotruk Howo 6×4 chassis platform, which provides a strong foundation for heavy-duty waste transportation applications.
Moreover, each vehicle was equipped with a 20m³ roll-off garbage container. The container was manufactured with high tensile carbon steel to improve structural strength and durability during operation.
The hook lift system allows the truck to handle removable containers, creating greater flexibility for waste collection and transportation.
Compared with traditional fixed-body garbage trucks, roll-off systems can provide advantages in large waste collection projects. Operators can prepare multiple containers and improve transportation efficiency.
4. Product Advantages and Waste Management Application
The main advantage of this project was the combination of a heavy-duty chassis and a large-capacity waste container.
The Howo 6×4 chassis provided the required power and carrying capability for a 20m³ roll-off garbage container. Meanwhile, the high tensile carbon steel container structure supported long-term use in demanding waste collection environments.
In addition, the hook arm design improved operational flexibility. The vehicle can load, transport, and unload compatible roll-off containers, making it suitable for different waste collection routes.
For waste management companies, this type of garbage truck can support applications such as municipal waste transportation, industrial waste collection, and large-volume waste handling.
Furthermore, supplying four units in one project allowed customers to build a standardized fleet with consistent specifications.
5. Manufacturing and Quality Control
Producing heavy-duty waste collection vehicles requires coordination between chassis selection, container manufacturing, and hydraulic system installation.
For this Cote d’Ivoire project, we manufactured the vehicles according to the customer’s requirements and integrated the Howo 6×4 chassis with the 20m³ roll-off container configuration.
The container used high tensile carbon steel, which was selected for improved strength and durability.
Before export preparation, the completed vehicles were arranged for delivery as a four-unit batch. This helped ensure consistent specifications across the customer’s fleet.
The original project record confirms the completed delivery of four Howo 20m³ roll-on roll-off hook arm garbage trucks.
6. Delivery and Customer Value
After production completion, the four roll-off garbage trucks were delivered to Shanghai Port for export shipment to Cote d’Ivoire.
For the customers, this project provided a complete waste transportation solution instead of individual truck units.
First, the 20m³ container capacity helped improve waste transportation efficiency. Large-volume containers reduce the frequency of collection trips and support larger waste handling tasks.
Second, the Howo heavy-duty chassis provided a suitable platform for continuous operation.
Moreover, the roll-off design gave customers more flexibility in container management. Different containers can support different collection requirements depending on the application.
As a result, the project helped customers improve their waste collection capability with reliable commercial vehicles.
7. Export Experience in African Markets
This Cote d’Ivoire project demonstrates the importance of understanding regional market requirements.
Before cooperation, customer communication was established through an overseas visit and product introduction. The customers also considered previous successful projects in several African countries.
For international buyers, choosing a commercial vehicle supplier involves more than selecting a truck model. Buyers also need confidence in manufacturing experience, customization capability, and delivery support.
This project shows how a professional supplier can provide customized waste management vehicles according to customer application needs.
8. Why Choose a Roll Off Garbage Truck Solution
For companies involved in waste collection and environmental services, vehicle flexibility is an important consideration.
A roll-off garbage truck provides a practical solution when customers need high-capacity transportation and container exchange capability.
The Cote d’Ivoire project included four Howo 20m³ roll-off garbage trucks, combining a heavy-duty chassis with a durable waste container design.
Overall, this delivery demonstrates the capability to supply customized garbage collection vehicles for overseas markets. With suitable configuration, roll-off garbage trucks can support municipal projects, private waste companies, and industrial waste transportation applications.
