Category: Garbage Compactor Truck Maintenance & Repair Guide
Maintenance and repair instructions are essential for ensuring the safe operation, long service life, and high working efficiency of DALI-CLW garbage compactor trucks. Designed for municipal waste collection and sanitation services, DALI-CLW garbage compactor trucks feature a compact structure, reliable performance, and efficient compaction capacity.
Proper and regular maintenance helps reduce breakdowns, minimize downtime, and maintain optimal operating conditions.
General Maintenance Guidelines
Routine inspections should include:
- Engine oil level
- Transmission fluid condition
- Coolant level
- Brake system
- Tire pressure
Recommended service intervals:
- Engine oil and oil filter: every 10,000 km or 6 months
- Transmission oil and filter: every 80,000–100,000 km
Regular cleaning of both the interior and exterior of the truck helps prevent waste accumulation, corrosion, and premature wear. Air filters should also be cleaned frequently to maintain proper air intake and engine performance.
Compactor System Maintenance
The compactor mechanism is a key functional system of DALI-CLW garbage compactor trucks. It is recommended to:
- Inspect and lubricate the hydraulic system regularly
- Check cutting edges and scraper blades for wear
- Replace or sharpen worn components in time
Routine inspections by qualified technicians are recommended to ensure the braking system, steering system, suspension, and hydraulic components are operating safely and efficiently.
Routine Maintenance Schedule
Daily Maintenance
Before performing any maintenance work, the following safety procedures must be completed:
- Turn off the PTO (Power Take-Off) and speed-up switch; return all control joysticks to the neutral position
- Shut down the engine, remove the key, and keep it in a safe place
- Apply the parking brake
- Place a warning sign on the steering wheel indicating “Under Maintenance – Do Not Start”
- Place wheel chocks under the tires to ensure vehicle stability
Daily inspection and cleaning tasks:
- Clean vehicle exterior, tipping mechanism, oil tank, and hydraulic pipelines
- Check hydraulic oil level and inspect for oil leakage
- Inspect electrical system including tail lights and work indicator lamps
- Clean rear compaction locks to ensure efficient compression
- Inspect safety labels and operating instructions and replace if missing
- Lubricate all moving parts of the compactor
- Clean the push plate and surrounding oil tank area
Weekly Maintenance
- Lubricate all compactor spindles and pivot points, including:
- Tailgate hinges
- Scraper pivot covers
- Scraper cylinder bearings
- Slide plate guide rails
- Connecting rods
- Lubricate chassis components according to the maintenance manual
- Inspect all fastening points and tighten loose connections
Monthly Maintenance
- Inspect all hydraulic pipelines for leakage and replace if necessary
