Garbage Compactor Truck Project Delivered to Cambodia for Urban Waste Management

In August 2019, a Cambodian government tender project was completed with the delivery of Garbage Compactor Truck units for urban waste collection operations. The project included 15 units of Dongfeng 18m³ garbage trucks, including 10 units of compressed garbage trucks and 5 units of hook lift garbage trucks designed for efficient waste transportation.

The project was developed to support improved municipal waste management services in Cambodia. With increasing demand for cleaner urban environments, reliable waste collection vehicles have become essential equipment for cities and public service operators.

For this project, our team supplied a complete garbage collection solution with different vehicle configurations to meet various waste transportation requirements.

Customer Background

The customer was a government-related buyer in Cambodia that purchased specialized waste management vehicles through a public tender project.

Municipal waste collection requires vehicles that can operate efficiently in urban environments. Therefore, government buyers usually focus on vehicle reliability, loading capacity, maintenance convenience, and long-term operating costs.

Customer Challenge

Meanwhile, different waste collection areas may require different truck structures. Compactor garbage trucks are suitable for regular household waste collection, while hook lift garbage trucks provide more flexibility for container-based waste transportation.

As a result, the customer selected two types of garbage trucks to build a more complete waste management fleet.

For this Cambodia project, we designed and supplied Dongfeng 18m³ garbage trucks according to the customer’s tender requirements.

By combining compressed garbage trucks and hook lift garbage trucks, the customer received a practical waste management solution suitable for different municipal applications.

After confirming the project requirements, our engineering team organized production according to the customer’s specifications.

First, engineers reviewed the vehicle configuration, garbage body capacity, and operating requirements. Next, the production team completed the truck body manufacturing, hydraulic system installation, and final vehicle assembly.

During production, key systems were inspected to ensure reliable operation. In addition, completed vehicles were checked before export preparation.
