Garbage Compactor Truck Cambodia Project with 15 Units

Garbage Compactor Truck Project Delivered to Cambodia for Urban Waste Management
Report Date: September 1, 2019
In August 2019, a Cambodian government tender project was completed with the delivery of Garbage Compactor Truck units for urban waste collection operations. The project included 15 units of Dongfeng 18m³ garbage trucks, including 10 units of compressed garbage trucks and 5 units of hook lift garbage trucks designed for efficient waste transportation.
The project was developed to support improved municipal waste management services in Cambodia. With increasing demand for cleaner urban environments, reliable waste collection vehicles have become essential equipment for cities and public service operators.
For this project, our team supplied a complete garbage collection solution with different vehicle configurations to meet various waste transportation requirements.
Customer Background
The customer was a government-related buyer in Cambodia that purchased specialized waste management vehicles through a public tender project.
Municipal waste collection requires vehicles that can operate efficiently in urban environments. Therefore, government buyers usually focus on vehicle reliability, loading capacity, maintenance convenience, and long-term operating costs.
For this project, the customer required a fleet solution rather than a single vehicle. The goal was to improve garbage collection efficiency and provide more professional waste management services.
The final order included:
- 10 units of Dongfeng 18m³ compressed garbage trucks
- 5 units of Dongfeng 18m³ hook lift / roll-on roll-off garbage trucks
- Project year: 2019
- Application: Municipal waste collection and transportation
Customer Challenge
Before this project, the customer needed to improve the efficiency of urban waste collection operations.
Traditional waste transportation methods often require more manual handling and more frequent trips. Therefore, a modern waste collection vehicle with larger capacity and compression functions could help increase transportation efficiency.
Meanwhile, different waste collection areas may require different truck structures. Compactor garbage trucks are suitable for regular household waste collection, while hook lift garbage trucks provide more flexibility for container-based waste transportation.
As a result, the customer selected two types of garbage trucks to build a more complete waste management fleet.
Garbage Compactor Truck Solution
For this Cambodia project, we designed and supplied Dongfeng 18m³ garbage trucks according to the customer’s tender requirements.
The main configuration included:
- Product: Dongfeng garbage trucks
- Capacity: 18 cubic meters
- Quantity: 15 units
- Application: Waste collection and transportation
- Vehicle types:
- Garbage compactor truck
- Hook lift garbage truck
- Roll-on roll-off garbage truck
The 18m³ garbage compactor truck uses a compression system to reduce waste volume during collection. Therefore, operators can transport more waste in each trip and improve fleet productivity.
In addition, the hook lift garbage truck provides flexible container handling capability. This allows operators to adapt the vehicle for different waste collection scenarios.
By combining compressed garbage trucks and hook lift garbage trucks, the customer received a practical waste management solution suitable for different municipal applications.
Product Advantages for Waste Management Operations
A reliable waste management truck needs to provide both capacity and operational efficiency.
First, the 18m³ compactor garbage truck offers a larger loading volume compared with many standard waste collection vehicles. Therefore, it can support longer collection routes and reduce transportation frequency.
Moreover, the compression function helps increase waste loading efficiency. This is especially valuable for urban areas with high daily waste generation.
Meanwhile, the hook lift garbage truck provides operational flexibility. It can work with different waste containers and support various collection methods.
For government projects, fleet versatility is important. A combination of different garbage truck models allows operators to manage residential areas, commercial zones, and public facilities more effectively.
Manufacturing and Quality Control
After confirming the project requirements, our engineering team organized production according to the customer’s specifications.
First, engineers reviewed the vehicle configuration, garbage body capacity, and operating requirements. Next, the production team completed the truck body manufacturing, hydraulic system installation, and final vehicle assembly.
During production, key systems were inspected to ensure reliable operation. In addition, completed vehicles were checked before export preparation.
Our experience in special vehicle manufacturing allows us to support large-volume international projects. Whether customers require compactor garbage trucks, hook lift garbage trucks, or customized waste collection vehicles, we provide professional production support.
Export Preparation and Delivery
After completing production, the 15 units of Dongfeng garbage trucks were prepared for delivery to Cambodia.
Large fleet projects require careful coordination between manufacturing, inspection, and logistics teams. Therefore, our export team managed the project process to ensure smooth shipment preparation.
For international buyers, especially government and municipal customers, delivery reliability is a key factor. A successful project requires not only vehicle production but also effective communication and project management.
This Cambodia order demonstrated our capability to handle multi-unit commercial vehicle exports.
Customer Value and Project Results
The Cambodia garbage truck project provided the customer with a complete waste collection fleet solution.
With 10 units of compressed garbage trucks and 5 units of hook lift garbage trucks, the customer gained flexible equipment for different waste management operations.
Furthermore, the 18m³ capacity configuration helped improve collection efficiency and reduce unnecessary transportation cycles.
Overall, this successful project demonstrates our experience in supplying garbage compactor trucks and waste management vehicles for overseas markets. From product selection and manufacturing to export delivery, we support international buyers with reliable commercial vehicle solutions.
